Talk Theatre in Chicago

Dan Goggin has made a career out of his “Nunsense” musicals. His latest, Nunsensations—The Nunsense Vegas Revue, is a light spoof of Vegas revues and old-time vaudeville musical acts. Take your grandmother, the kids, and your neighbors since this palatable revue is a sure winner.

What makes this show work is the obvious Vegas motif led by the catchy title tune “Life is a Game of Chance.” Showgirl references abound. With plenty of audience involvement and interaction, I thought I was in Branson. The musical styles give reference to all true audience favorites from tango to 50’s doo-wop to a “Cirque du Blimp” parody of the circus show that plays Vegas.

With its polished cast, this is a nice night out!
